The main park road will be temporarily closed from the beach area to the north entrance gate on Wed., Aug. 15 from 8 a.m. to approximately 11:30 a.m. to allow for maintenance crews to work on the railroad line that passes through the park. Visitors should be advised that the Union Pacific Railroad will be using an aerial tree cutting device and a helicopter for the removal of debris along the rail line.

The swimming beach has been closed for the season.
The park is under an open burn ban until further notice. This ban includes prohibiting campfires and other open fires (i.e. tiki torches, citronella candles, etc.). Contained charcoal files used for cooking, as well as gas and cook top stoves, are allowed under this ban.
