Park Office
You can find the park office by staying to your left past the campground road. There is a paved parking lot with an accessible parking space near the entrance to the office.
Campground
The campground offers two basic and two electric accessible campsites. One basic site is among the walk-in sites, located off of a parking lot and providing a paved pathway. All sites provide an extended-end table, pedestal grill, fire ring and lantern post. Paved water hydrants are conveniently located throughout the campground.
Showerhouse
The showerhouse has a striped parking space with a 2.7% cross-slope adjacent to an access aisle. Inside are accessible lavatories with lowered mirrors, side-transfer toilets, roll-in showers and electric hand dryers with plenty of maneuvering room.
Dump Station
The dump station is designed to be barrier-free.
Marina Area
Marina Store
A railed ramp takes you to the entrance of the marina store. Parking is paved and level.
Marina Docks
Accessible boat slips, currently leased annually, are available. The ramp leading to the boat dock is railed, with the slope dependent on the lake’s water level.
Boat Ramp
The paved four-lane boat ramp has an unmodified courtesy dock and a second accessible courtesy dock. The staging area has a 4.5% slope; however, the large parking lot offers some areas with less slope. There are two designated accessible boat trailer parking spots.
Fish Cleaning Station
One accessible parking space is provided adjacent to the paved station. The faucet handles are easy to operate and the station is accessible to wheelchairs.
Accessible Fishing Dock
Two accessible parking spaces access a paved pathway running out on the marina breakwater. Here, an accessible fishing dock provides a shady place for all anglers to enjoy.
Beach Area
Change House
The change house has two accessible changing rooms, lavatories and side-transfer toilets. An outside shower and a water fountain are also provided. An information kiosk is located in front of the structure.
From here, you may take a system of railed steps or a paved pathway to the beach. The paved pathway ends at the normal pool level.
Beach
Two accessible parking spaces serve the fishing dock and the beach. A paved pathway leads to the normal pool level, where sand may need to be crossed when the lake is at a lower level.
Picnic Area
Overlooking the beach are seven accessible picnic sites with pedestal grills and most have extended-end tables. A paved pathway leads from the parking lot, past the change house, to each site.
North Shelter
This shelter overlooks the marina and has level, paved parking. The paths are paved with slopes of up to 6.5%. The vault toilet is side-transfer; however, the door handles may be a barrier to some users. The shelter provides two group grills, extended-end tables, electric power and a water fountain and accommodates 111 people. A horseshoe court is located beside the shelter on solid, level turf.
South Shelter
The South Shelter has two accessible parking spaces next to a paved pathway. There is a side-transfer vault toilet nearby. The shelter accommodates 60 people and provides two group grills, extended-end tables, electric power and a water fountain. A horseshoe court is located just behind the shelter on solid, level turf.
Lakeview Trail
This trail is of packed fines; however, excessive slopes and irregularities exist, which keep it from being listed as accessible. A level, paved parking area is provided.
Macon Area Boat Launch
This boat launch is paved with an unmodified courtesy dock. Parking and staging is on a level, paved lot. An unmodified vault toilet is located in the parking area.
Bee Trace Day-Use Area
An unmodified vault toilet is located near a paved parking lot. Nearby are a water hydrant and a picnic site, all (including the vault toilet), are accessed over natural turf. A 9-mile mowed hiking trail is not modified for accessibility.
Bee Trace Boat Launch
A slightly sloped, paved parking lot sits on the crest of the hill with an unmodified vault toilet adjacent to the pavement. A small, level staging area is located just above the boat ramp. The courtesy dock is not modified for accessibility.
