This special-use area, located near the North Shelter, is available by reservation only and may be reserved by calling the park office at 417-276-4259. Organized youth groups (Scouts, 4-H, church, etc.) have priority. There is no water, electricity or restroom facility in this area. There are two picnic tables and a fire ring.
A special-use area with water and a vault toilet is located just north of the Hartley Area boat launch.
