First Day Hike

Lake of the Ozarks State Park will host a First Day Hike on Hidden Springs Trail on New Year’s Day 2023. The hike will be 2.5 miles long and be moderately difficult. It will begin at the trailhead parking lot across from the stables on Highway 134. The trailhead is 3.6 miles from the park office, which is located at 403 Highway 134 in Kaiser, Missouri.

Hikers may encounter natural surfaces such as dirt, mud, gravel, loose rocks and slippery surfaces; rocks, roots or downed vegetation on the trail; and steep grades over 10%. Participants are encouraged to bring water and snacks, wear appropriate footwear, and dress for the weather.

This event is free and open to all ages. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash.
