Are you interested in volunteering at Mastodon State Historic Site? If so, we encourage you to attend our Volunteer Open House to learn about volunteer opportunities around the park! All potential volunteers – individuals, families, Scout troops, classes and community groups – are welcome to attend. Attendees will learn about service opportunities, volunteer training and the volunteer application process.
The open house will take place inside the historic site museum, located at 1050 Charles J. Becker Drive in Imperial. Potential volunteers can drop in anytime between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to ask questions, learn about opportunities and get to know the staff. At 1:30 p.m., staff will give a presentation about volunteering opportunities and requirements. Attendees are also invited to explore our museum for free – museum fees will be waived for those who attend the open house – and watch the Skull Show at 2 p.m.
This is a free event, and there is no need to register. Light refreshments will be available throughout the open house. Call the site office at 636-464-2976 with any questions.
