Wallace State Park Campground
Information
The park's peaceful, family-oriented campgrounds include
both basic and electric campsites. On-season (April 15 through Oct. 31) services include reservable sites, modern restrooms, hot showers and a trailer dump
station. Playground equipment is located near Campgrounds 2 and
4. Walk-in campsites are available for those
seeking more seclusion. Campers planning to carry in firewood must comply with current firewood advisories.
Campgrounds 1 and 2 are open year-round. Campgrounds 3 and 4 are open April 15 through Oct. 31. Reservations can be made for stays during the on-season (April 15 through Oct. 31).
During the off-season (Nov. 1 through April 14), potable water is available at the frost-free spigot near the showerhouse and firewood is sold upon request. Campgrounds 3 and 4 are closed during the off-season.
Group Reservations
Campground 4 can accommodate a group of 20 and has electric campsites ranging in length from 40 feet to 99 feet. Detailed information about each campsite can be accessed by clicking on the campsite numbers on the campground map. Campers associated with the group may telephone the reservation center (877-422-6766) or go on-line to make their reservations. For all camping customers, there is a five-site limit per call or on-line session. To ensure availability of the quantity of sites needed, campers of the group are encouraged to organize their trip with group members and reserve their sites as early as possible within the six-month reservation window, as other campers not associated with any group also may reserve in Campground 4 as early as six months prior to their arrival date. Typical reservation fees, policies and rules apply to reservations made by campers associated with a group.
Special-Use Camping Area
Organized youth groups can reserve the park's special-use
camping area. It includes three areas for camping, all of which have
a vault toilet, water spigot and fire ring. Each camping area
can accommodate groups of 40 to 50. For more information or
to reserve the special-use camping area, please call the park office
at 816-632-3745.
Park Gate Information
Park gates close at 10 p.m. daily year-round. Campers need to
be sure to arrive prior to gate closure time.
