Interpretive Programs

at Lake of the Ozarks State Park

a naturalist shows some kids a frogMake sure to attend the regularly scheduled evening programs at the amphitheater Memorial Day through Labor Day. Morning hikes and other programs are offered at different times and locations during the summer months; check the park bulletin boards or contact a park naturalist for detailed information at 573-346-2500. Also contact a park naturalist to arrange special group programs or to use any of the natural resource sites.

Group Programs

Group programs should be scheduled at least three weeks in advance, although shorter notice may be possible depending on staffing and other scheduled programs.

All of the interpretive programs offered relate to one of the following themes:

  • the diversity and management of the terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems found in the park
  • the flora and fauna within those ecosystems
  • the cultural history and resources that have influenced the park today
