First Day Hike: Cuivre River Sampler

1/1/2023 | Cuivre River State Park | Troy, MO

Start the new year off on the right foot with a guided walk in Cuivre River State Park. This hike will begin at the Stone Shelter and will feature portions of Hamilton Hollow Trail, the South Loop of Cuivre River Trail, and the new White Connector 2. This 2.5-mile hike will take about two hours to complete. After the hike, you will be invited to join park staff at the Stone Shelter for s'mores!

Participants should dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. The hike will be moderate in intensity, and portions of the trails can be muddy during wet weather. Restrooms will not be available at the trailhead; however, vault toilets are open at the equestrian area, at the Hilltop Shelter, and in the campground across from the playground.

This event is free and open to all ages. For more information, call the park office at 636-528-7247. Event updates will be posted on the park's Facebook page.
