The public is strongly encouraged to follow social-distancing guidelines and be proactive in protecting themselves and others.
Staff from Confluence Point State Park will be on hand to provide information about that park and the eastern section of Katy Trail State Park and answer questions. The public is invited to share comments about the parks and their operations.
This open house-style meeting will be from 5-7 p.m. at First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site in St. Charles. It is one of several events happening at the historic site throughout the day. A complete list of events is provided below:
- 3-7 p.m. - Statehood Day activities
- 5-6 p.m. - Town hall-style public meeting for First Missouri State Capitol SHS
- 5-7 p.m. - Open house for Edward "Ted" and Pat Jones-Confluence Point SP and eastern section of Katy Trail SP
- 7-8 p.m. - Outdoor concert

Input from the public is important to Missouri State Parks. These informational meetings, which are being held in all state parks and historic sites, help create a two-way communication. The meetings give staff the opportunity to let people know the current status and future plans for the park or site, and they offer visitors the opportunity to comment on the facilities.
