Wings Over Weston, the state's largest annual birding festival, introduces birds, their migration and the importance of conservation of habitat to children. This event is free and all ages are welcome to enjoy educational stations, including bird banding, guided bird hikes, arts and crafts, games and rescued birds from Operation Wildlife and raptor rehab.
The event will take place at the park’s Bee Creek Shelter. The entrance road to the shelter is south of the park’s main gate off Missouri 45 Highway.
Sponsors for Wings Over Weston include Burroughs Audubon, Missouri State Parks, Missouri Master Naturalists, Missouri Department of Conservation, City of Weston, National Audubon and Midland Empire Audubon.
