A brand-new traveling exhibit from the Missouri State Museum, “Minerals Make Missouri,” will be on display in the Shaw House at Felix Vallé House State Historic Site during the month of November. Through explorations of Missouri's major minerals, visitors will learn about the broad impact and varied history of the state's mining industry, as well as the roles played by the Missouri Geological Society and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources in identifying, mapping and using these minerals more sustainably. From limestone to cobalt, the full richness of Missouri's mineral resources will be on display. This exhibit is free and open to the public, and there is no need to register.
