Help spot and count birds for this national citizen science project. We will meet at the park office and then stroll along Gosling Lake and Independence trails in search of all the birds we can find! We walk approximately 1.5 miles on a mix of gravel and uneven natural surfaces.
Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring binoculars if they have them. A limited supply of binoculars will be available at the event.
This program is free, open to the public, and suitable for both expert and novice birders. In the event of inclement weather, including temperatures below 20 degrees, the program will be canceled. For more information, call 816-640-5443.
Program time: 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
