Experience camping in a recreational trailer without the costs of owning one or the hassles of towing it. Renting a recreational trailer at Wakonda State Park provides the family or individual with an inexpensive weekend get-away and a chance to try a new camping experience. All units are located on a scenic lake and are available from April 15 through Oct. 30 and can be reserved. Tents or other alternate lodging accommodations are not allowed in the rental area. Pets and smoking are not allowed inside the trailers. Check in is at 3 p.m. with check out by 11 a.m.

The 35-foot upgraded trailers offer the following amenities:

three-quarter bathroom
heating and cooling
kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, two-burner hot plate, pots and pans, coffee pot, microwave and seating for four
bed and bath linens
picnic table
outdoor fire ring with grill

Clean up and trash removal is the responsibility of the lodging guest and should be completed before check out. There are no televisions or telephones in the trailers.

The trailers are less than one mile from the park office. Each trailer is able to sleep up to four adults. The bunk beds are most suitable for youths. The 2008 rate for the trailers is $55 per night plus tax. Full payment for your stay is due at the time you make the reservation.
