Rock Bridge Memorial State Park

Park Information

Just minutes from Columbia, Rock Bridge Memorial State Park gives visitors the chance to scramble, hike and bicycle through a scenic environment – and lets them peek into Missouri’s underworld. The park contains some of the most popular hiking trails in the state and also offers solitude while hiking in the Gans Creek Wild Area. Visitors can also see a large cave system with its rock bridge, sinkholes, a spring and underground stream at the Devil's Icebox. You can explore Connor's Cave in the light of the opening for a taste of the underground world. 

Park Hours

Park Grounds:

  • Sunrise to sunset, year-round
  • The gate to the Devil's Icebox/Natural Bridge areas opens and closes at these times.

Park Office hours

  • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • Staff may also be available in the office on some weekends and during other hours. Please call ahead at 573-449-7402.
Name that Trail: This 2.25 mile trail is designated for hikers and mountain bikers. It winds its way through woods and old fields and along small intermittent streams. Maples and sycamore trees grace the banks of Little Bonne Femme Creek, which is crossed twice. At the eastern crossing, a 100-foot bridge provides a dry crossing. The western crossing lacks a bridge a may require minor wadding. Don’t know the answer?
