Fall Wild Edibles 101 - Class is Full

11/2/2019 | Current River State Park | Salem, MO

This class is full!

Have you ever looked at a plant and wondered if you could eat it? Have you ever wished you could "live off the land"? Then this is a good class to start with. Join park staff and Kirsten Alvey-Mudd, a trained chef and master forager, to learn about fall wild edibles, where they can be found and how to process them. The fun part is that you get to EAT everything we gather!

Please bring a water bottle, wear sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather. We will be hiking/foraging to collect the wild edibles that are found in the park, while learning how to harvest responsibly.

Class Schedule
  • 9 a.m. - Meet in the dining room of the lodge for a brunch of wild edibles and go over the handouts.
  • 10 a.m. - Forage
