Canceled: First Day Hike - A Hike Through Time

1/1/2019 | Graham Cave State Park | Danville, MO

Celebrate your First Day Hike by visiting one of Missouri State Park's most significant archaeological sites. Take a 0.5-mile, moderately difficult, interpretative hike with park naturalist Lorie Volenberg along two of the park’s most popular trails: Fern Ridge and Graham Cave trails. Learn about the cultural history and lifestyles of the Indigenous peoples who once occupied Graham Cave and the surrounding forests and river valleys, along with how the land ended up being owned by the Graham family.

Wear comfortable hiking shoes and dress in layers. Refreshments will be provided after the hike.

Hike time: 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.
Meeting Location: Lower Picnic Area Shelter House

First Day Hikes are promoted by America’s State Parks and you will be joining hikers from all 50 states. For more information about hikes in Missouri State Parks, click here.
