- 7 p.m. - They’re Back…. Large Mammals Returning to Missouri - Campground Amphitheater
Join park interpreters to learn about one of Missouri’s greatest success stories… the return of black bears, mountain lions and bobcats. Learn how to identify signs of these animals’ presence and what their return means for Missouri
Saturday
- 2 p.m. - Petroglyph Tour - Petroglyph Site
This guided interpretive walk highlights two of Washington State Park's unique features. The walk begins with a tour of the ancient Native American rock carvings and will then venture out onto the glade, where visitors will learn about life on this landscape.
- 4 p.m. - Nature Hour - Swimming Pool Entrance
Stop by the naturalist table outside the pool to learn more about these large mammals and pick up information.
- 7 p.m. - Living With Large Mammals - Campground Amphitheater
Learn how professionals are managing these large mammals and what you can do to ensure safe and healthy environments for both you and these critters.
Sunday
- 9 a.m. - Nature Hour - Campground Playground
Join the park naturalist while the grown-ups clean up camp to create your very own nature journal, where you can keep all the information you learned this weekend and record your outdoor observation. There will also be large mammal coloring sheets available.
