Solar Eclipse Weekend Events

Friday- Sunday
  • Sidewalk Chalk Drawing Event – Campground Amphitheater Sidewalk – All Day
    Show off your creative side by drawing eclipse-related pictures on the amphitheater sidewalk.  See Washington State Park interpretive staff for chalk.
Friday
  • 7 p.m. - Popcorn Social and Solar Mythbusters - Campground Amphitheater
    Separate solar fact from fiction over some fresh popped popcorn at this fun competition!
Saturday
  • 2 p.m. - Petroglyph and Glade Tour – Petroglyph Site
    This guided interpretive walk highlights two of Washington State Park's unique features. The walk begins with a tour of the ancient Native American rock carvings and will then venture out onto the glade, where visitors will learn about life on this landscape. 
  • 4 p.m. -  Nature Hour – Swimming Pool Entrance
    Do you know how to view the upcoming total solar eclipse safely? Join Washington State Park interpretive staff to get tips on how you – and your eyes – can enjoy the eclipse.
  • 7 p.m. -  Great American Eclipse – Campground Amphitheater
    Washington State Park interpretive staff will present a fun and interactive program on the Great American Solar Eclipse with fun and interactive demonstrations.
Sunday

    Take flight into outer space and learn all about the cosmos with Washington State Park interpretive staff.
