5/18/2013 | Lake Wappapello State Park | Williamsville, MO
Discover the wildlife wonders inhabiting the hills and shores of scenic Lake Wappapello State Park. Be sure to bring your camera, sketchpad and binoculars if you have them. Participants can expect to spy on a variety of wild park inhabitants and have special “explorer” adventures by participating at the safari adventure sites - Beach Birding, Furry Fauna, Reptiles Rock and other planned adventures. You will receive a souvenir “bug-out” bag, schedule and other information when you register at the nature center before starting your park safari. (Everyone will need an adult responsible for them and a way to get around the park to the adventure locations). You will have the chance to go on trails, sneak up on wild animals and participate in activities at the adventure sites. If you are in the park overnight, plan to attend the Wildlife at Night presentation at 8:30 p.m.
