JSI in miniature

This doesn't really qualify as an "Ask the expert," but it's kind of cool and this seemed like a good place to put it...

The video this link takes you to was shot by one of our State Parks Youth Corps interns last summer. A few weeks ago, he discovered a new function in his editing software called "tilt-shift" and decided to use this footage. The software changes the focus and depth of field of the video and creates miniature photos and videos.  The technique has been around since the 1960s, but it's the first time he -- or we -- have applied it to Missouri State Parks video.

And so we give you Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park, if it were a doll house or one of those vibrating football games.
