On the map to the right, the campground loops are marked in red as Raccoon Ridge, Devil's Backbone, Buck Ridge, Wild Turkey Ridge and Thorny Ridge. To view a detailed map, click on the respective campground loop indicator. Pictures of individual campsites are available.

Campground Information

Harry S Truman State Park offers basic and electric campsites. On-season (April through October) services include modern restrooms, a dump station, showers, water and laundry.

Devil's Backbone, Raccoon Ridge and Thorny Ridge campgrounds are open and reservable year-round.  Buck Ridge and Wild Turkey Ridge campgrounds are open and reservable for on-season stays (April through October).  For reservations, there is a required two-night minimum stay for weekends.

Potable water is not available in the park during the off-season (November through March).  Campers should bring their own potable water during this time.
