Natural Bridge Trail

This trail offers a glimpse into the gulf as you walk along the edge and through the Grand Gulf Natural Area. You can see wildflowers and wildlife as you hike along the trail. The gravel trail has steep slopes. The best time to walk the trail is in the late fall, when colors are changing, and winter, when the views are better through the leafless forest.

Interpretive Loop Trail

Length: .25 Mile View map
This trail offers some of the most spectacular views of the gulf from four overlooks. You can see the remains of the collapsed cave system as well as the remaining cave located in the Grand Gulf Sink. Unusual rock formations and geological features are visible while hiking along the edge of the gulf. The trail has steep slopes and wood stairways with 119 steps. You should wear a good pair of shoes or hiking boots. Interpretive panels located at the kiosk and along the trail explain the formation of the gulf and point out various features.
