RAPTOR AWARENESS PROGRAM IS JUNE 21
AT ARROW ROCK STATE HISTORIC SITE
JEFFERSON CITY, MO., JUNE 5, 2008 -- Learn about and see birds of prey at the Raptor Awareness Program Saturday, June 21, at Arrow Rock State Historic Site in Arrow Rock. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the program begins at 1 p.m. at the site's visitor center.
Learn a vulture's secret weapon and how to identify birds of prey when the World Bird Sanctuary from St. Louis brings falcons, hawks, owls and vultures to the site. Get a close-up look at some of the birds as they soar right over your head. This program is suited for all ages.
