INFORMATIONAL MEETING IS APRIL 13 FOR
THOMAS HART BENTON HOME AND STUDIO STATE HISTORIC SITE
JEFFERSON CITY, MO., MARCH 31, 2008 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an informational meeting Sunday, April 13, to discuss issues related to Thomas Hart Benton Home and Studio State Historic Site in Kansas City. The meeting begins at 2 p.m. at the home, 3616 Belleview. The public is invited.
Site staff will be on hand to discuss recent changes at the Benton home, plans for future development of programs and upcoming repairs. Guided tours of the home and studio will be available before and after the meeting. After the meeting, there will also be a viewing of the 10-minute film, "A Visit with Thomas Hart Benton." Light refreshments will be served.
The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on state parks and historic sites.
