Nature Center

at Big Oak Tree State Park

Learn about the history of the logging and drainage of Missouri's bootheel; changes in the Mississippi River floodplain; and the New Madrid earthquake in the small nature center located at the beginning of the boardwalk. Other displays focus on the park's champion trees, wildlife and unique plants.
