Friday:

7 p.m. - Campground Amphitheater
Meet and Greet The Naturalist
Meet the park naturalist! The naturalist staff will answer your questions about the park and nature in this meet-and greet-style program, which will last approximately one hour. Then, join us for a fun game.

Saturday:

Noon -  Petroglyph Site
Petroglyph Glade Tour
This guided interpretive walk highlights two of the park’s unique features. The walk begins with a tour of the ancient Native American rock carvings and will then venture out into the glade, where visitors will learn about life on this unique landscape. This walk will last approximately one hour.

2 p.m. - Picnic Table near Campground Host Site
Naturalist Hour
Participate in activities, learn about the park’s natural history, view critters or work on earning your Missouri State Parks and Historic Sites Explorer Patch. Stop by and see what the naturalist has to share. This program will last approximately one hour.

4 p.m. - Thunderbird Lodge
River Bottom Walk
A short hike along the 1,000 Step Trail will give guests the chance to view a wide variety of plant life and learn about the history of Washington State Park and the young men who built it.  The walk will then lead guests along the edge of the Big River to learn just how important this body of water is to the area around it. This walk will last approximately one hour.

7 p.m. – Campground Amphitheater
Hands-On Archaeology
What is archaeology and what can it teach you? Get the answers to these questions and more at this program. Join park staff for this fun program about archaeology and learn about the archaeological features of Washington State Park. This program will last approximately one hour.
