Second Annual Spring Safety Day at the Park

Park visitors will be able to participate in a variety of fun and informative activities designed to promote safety. Local law enforcement, as well as Missouri State Parks rangers will conduct safety programs, including fingerprinting of young children with an Amber Alert identification kit. Truman Lake bike staff will be present to offer free bicycle check-ups. All bicycle, trike and adult bicycles, will be checked for safety and worn parts. There will also be a safety course for kids and adults to ride their bicycles through. Successful kids who complete the course will be given an "official" state park bicycle driver’s license. Park staff will also be on hand with other safety activities.
