Groundbreaking Ceremony for North Jefferson Trailhead Beautification Project

4/28/2015 | Katy Trail State Park

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Katy Trail State Park, the longest completed rail-trail conversion in the nation! Come join us as we commemorate this milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony at the North Jefferson trailhead. The groundbreaking ceremony will kickoff the North Jefferson Beautification Project which, when completed, will feature an expanded parking area, a small picnic shelter and native landscaping at the trailhead. During the ceremony, Missouri State Parks will recognize representatives from Edward Jones, the financial services firm donating the cost of the picnic shelter. The Conservation Foundation of Missouri Charitable Trust and other honorees will also be recognized for their ongoing contributions to Katy Trail State Park. Light refreshments will be served after the groundbreaking. We hope you’ll join us celebrate this important milestone in the Katy’s history and to show your appreciation of these individuals and organizations who have helped make the Katy Trail such a success.
