Know the Dark

12/5/2014 | Rock Bridge Memorial State Park | Columbia, MO

Experience the sights and sounds of night and become comfortable with the dark by going on a guided night hike on a park trail, where we will discuss the adaptations of nocturnal animals such as bats and owls. Learn how they use special senses, such as echolocation, to capture prey in the dark.  Find out about triboluminescence as you test your own night vision by participating in hands-on activities. Due to limited space, reservations are required.  This event is recommended for ages 6 and up. Reservations can be made by calling the park at 573-449-7400.
