CCC in State Parks - A Legacy of the Greatest Generation

10/4/2014 | Sam A. Baker State Park | Patterson, MO

Part of the charm of Missouri's classic state parks can be traced to the work of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during the 1930s. Come to the park for a tribute to the Greatest Generation and the work that became a legacy for us all to enjoy. This event will allow you to tap into our past with van rides to the Mudlick Mountain Fire Tower, hikes to the CCC-built shelters, and a chance for kids to experience the work and play of the CCC boys' day. The event will be based in the field across from the visitor center.  Registration for the van tours will begin at 9:30 a.m. Click here to read the news release.

Event times: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
