Join the park naturalist for a First Day Hike to the waterfall along the Mooner's Hollow Trail. The trail follows along the scenic Coonville Creek, and has many rock outcrops and seeps that create beautiful frozen cascades in the winter. This is a great photo opportunity. We will also search for Missouri's winter resident birds along the hike. This trail is moderate in difficulty, and not recommended for very young children. Bring sturdy footwear and dress for the weather. The hike will be to the waterfall and back, about two miles round trip.
Hike time: 1 p.m.
Meeting location: Mooner's Hollow Trail trailhead
