Arrow Rock State Historic Site
660-837-3330

Historic Site Plans

The historic site shares much of its eastern boundary with the Jameson Island unit of the Big Muddy National Wildlife Refuge. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) has established a 7/8 mile hiking trail named the Lewis and Clark Trail of Discovery. This trail permits visitors to view the Arrow Rock bluffs and walk along the old river wharf and ferry landing site. The historic site's Pierre a Fléche hiking trail will eventually link to this trail.

The historic site will review and update its Conceptual Development Plan (CDP) in 2005. The CDP is a "master plan" that is used to guide future plans and development. There will be opportunity for public review and comment during the CDP revision process.
